Don suffered a brain hemorrhage on May 9th that ended his life May 19th 2017. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Morris, daughter Elizabeth Stuart-Morris, sister Patricia Higgs, and dozens of extended family members and relatives. 


Don spent his working life in Education, first as a teacher at St. Andrew's College, Castle Frank High School, and Eastern High School of Commerce. This was followed by a three-year secondment to the Department of National Defence High School in Baden-Solingen, Germany. On returning to Canada, Don spent time at West Toronto Collegiate, Northern Secondary School and Woburn Collegiate as Vice Principal. Don was made Principal of Cedarbrae Collegiate- a job he loved. He was then elected Vice Chair and Chair of the Toronto Schools Administrators' Association (TSAA) representing all principals' concerns to the board senior team.

Cremation has occurred. At Don's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. A reception will be held June 12th 2017. More information is posted below.

Stay to the left of the Radisson Hotel parking lot when driving in.
Parking is available for free on site.
Walk to the North side of the complex, near the entrance to the St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church.
We are located in the back room with a large private, outdoor patio.
There is a small, semi-private playground for children.
This facility is wheelchair accessible.


Catering will be provided courtesy of Henri at
Aioli Bistro
Coffee, tea, water, and an assortment of sandwiches, salads, finger foods, and desserts will be served.
Cash bar is provided by the Armenian Community Centre, and will be located in front of the back room entrance. A selection of wine, beer, and bar rail beverages will be available.
